Over Half a Century of Engineering Excellence
 | Our founder Late Sri. K. I. Jacob started his career as a machinist in the state owned Engineering Department. There he enhanced his skills and expertise. With the enthusiasm he had for this field, combined with an undying entrepreneurial drive, provoked him to venture into new pastures. He started M/s Jacobs Engineering Works in the year 1948 and chose the location at a prominent place on the National Highway at Sreekariyam, Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, with a small capital investment at his disposal. He received total encouragement and support from his family members. His wife, Smt. Marykutty Jacob was the main pillar, who assisted him in business and supported him in taking up the challenges he had before him, to become a successful entrepreneur. |
| Through honest hard work and one-pointed dedication, he was soon able to expand his business and started M/s Jacobs Steel & Aluminium Industries, Sreekariyam, M/s Jacob Machine Tools, Thampanoor in Trivandrum and M/s Jacobs Metal Industries, Chenganoor in Kerala. He was adorned by the President of India in 1979 with Udyoga Patra award for “Self Made Industrialist” and for his unique invention of Electrical Insulation materials - a commodity which used to be imported and whose import was minimized through his invention. Through his ingenuity, he developed modern Vegetable Cutting Machines (food processors), Smokeless Ovens, Gymnasium Equipments, Children Park Equipments, Water Heaters etc. M/s. Jacobs Engineering Works is now headed by his successor Mr. Soman Jacob, who is the sole proprietor of the firm. Following his father's footsteps, he has successfully diversified the business into new ventures through his hard work, dedication and determination. At present the family business is gearing up for newer ideas and innovations of the third generation of Shri K. I. Jacob. The torch of honest and dedicated intelligent hard work is being carried forward, with total commitment to Product Quality and Everlasting Customer Satisfaction. |

Jacobs Food Processor can be used in Hotels, Canteens, Canning industry, manufactrues of wafers, chips, Ayurveda medicines, baby food etc. and tapioca growers.
